Encore(only from Verses Vol. 1) Gravedigger Female Serpent He is Shy Love Special thanks to Mr. David Been for providing us with the venue (Mini Golf), also to PTV8 and TC Weekly News for covering the event. Photography courtesy of Mcharlie ([email protected]/649-342-7225) Towers Of Babel presents: Verses Vol. 2 opened with a stirring display via a projector of photography/graphic art from Caylight, DRolle Photography and Caicos Creatives; all played along to the background music of Janelle Monae, Lady Livi and Erykah Badu/Yasiin Bey respectively. The show then exploded into an opening spoken word piece which had no introduction to the poet or the name of the piece but definitely set the stage theatrically for the rest of the performers and the showcase. The show progressed with performances by singers and rappers all intertwined with the talents and performances of thought provoking spoken word poetry, Lemans Welch served as Host for the evening of art. In order of appearance: Hezron, Brusnite Jean-Louis, Dominick and Dre Rolle, Mr. OMG, Charvis Ferguson, Phillippa Mayham, Twis Flo, Melinda Welch, Holly Missick, Vanessa Hall, Charrish Ferguson, Zel and Trigga Api of Blakout Crew. The pieces performed addressed areas such as domestic abuse, love, race relations, cultural heritage, general social life, religion and even sex; there was a little for everyone to enjoy. One of the highlight pieces performed included an 8/9 minute spoken word poem intertwined with acoustic guitar and singing (performed by Mr. OMG, Dre Rolle, Zel, Hezron and Dominick Rolle). Overall the event was a well attended and intricately produced 2 hour showcase of exceptional talent. Visit BlakOutCrew.com to download Trigga-Api's #AmOnlyHuman mixtape.

No, her hair is not always long or shine like silk with smooth skin like milk, her eyes are not blue or burn with flames and no she’s not wearing a red dress, but believe me when I tell you this they come in all different sizes. Have you ever met a female serpent? For me it was her smile and those eyes, those eyes, those eyes, it was as if she was speaking to me subliminally, her eyes speak silently but yet so loud, it was as if she was saying "take me", I want you to want me, but somehow I felt like I needed her, I used to think a female serpent was just beauty, but this one was mental, she loves to play mind games, with mind fields inside your own damn mind, and her favorite violin is your heart strings, I was playing a game I would not win, her love spell got me pin and deep within like Adam I knew this was more than just a snake bite. Why dangerous things are so beautiful? Ready and willing to give my heart to be place on a cross, but that’s not the worst part she refuse to let me go or let me die, keeping me half pass dead, playing tricks with my head. Have you ever met a female serpent that would make even God repent? Her rain of broken hearts knew no ends, she don’t want to break you just only a little pass bend, see broken bones will heal but a broken spirit is hard to mend, it would have been better to have a ghost for a friend because a female serpent heart is made out of ice, so the next time you see a beautiful woman you might just want to think twice.
